Safety

Crime prevention is a key component of community mobilization. A strong and united community can overcome and withstand the hardest of situations and is an essential element of any crime reduction strategy. It is very important to educate and assist community members to be more aware of their own safety, and to be proactive in the reduction of crime and eliminating the opportunity for crime. In order to do so, I encourage everybody to read the following safety tips from the Toronto Police.

We have wonderful neighbourhoods and I hope we can stand firm against crime and violence while restoring solidarity and peace. Let us all remain hopeful and work together to keep our community safe, unified, stable, vibrant and strong.
